DMLT is usually a two-year Diploma programme that provides a shorter option for people who want to start working right away. Although it offers fundamental information and abilities in medical laboratory operations, its scope for further education and job advancement may be somewhat limited. If you want to enter the healthcare industry more quickly, DMLT might be perfect, but you might not be able to pursue higher jobs or more specialisation in the profession.

A three-year undergraduate degree is called a B.Sc. MLT, on the other hand, provides a more thorough education and a better comprehension of laboratory technology, encompassing elements of pathology, microbiology, and biochemistry. It is a preferable option if you want to work in higher-level positions like laboratory supervisor, or technician in cutting-edge research settings, or if you intend to eventually pursue an M.Sc. or Ph.D.

In contrast to a DMLT, which could have more restricted employment duties in entry-level positions, a B.Sc.
