If you are interested in modeling you should go for it. Modeling basically is a glamorous profession which requires a lot of talent and hard work. In order to become a good model one should have attractive looks, nice personality, a photogenic face, good height, confident etc. If you have all these then you should join a fashion institute to groom yourself so that you gain the relevant knowledge about the industry.
Also I would advice you to get a portfolio done and submit it in various AD and Fashion houses.

The duration of the program would also vary from institute to institute some may have 6 months courses whereas others will have 1 -2 years programs.
