Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. Animation and Graphics are both forms of Art. However, animation being more challenging since the visualization a moving figure is tougher. And the field of animation involves a lot of graphic artists as well. Animation demands of you skills other than just pencil art. it asks you to imagine a performance. it asks you to evoke feelings as well as responses. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Opportunities lie in animation design, game design, graphics, storyboarding, 3d modelling, texturing and lighting, Dynamics and VFX and of course animation. However, choosing between these must be done after seeing your performance in each of these. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this (if you work hard you can improve your drawing skills tremendously). Nothing but your innermost talent and passion should lead you to the course and the institute you choose.
