Hello Ajay,
It is indeed very nice to know that after having completed your civil engineering you have decided to seek admission for your Mtech in IIT Mumbai. Geoinformatics is another interesting branch which has also great potential for job employment as well as for research. As per the admission procedure, the 60% of seats are reserved for NE students based on merit ranking in JEE Mains and 40% for the rest through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
The intake also includes admission to students under Self Supported Schemes (SSS) and State Rank Holders of (10+2) Science Examinations of NE States securing above 85% in aggregate.

After doing your B.Sc. In Biochemistry, I would suggest you to go for the same specialisation in M.Sc. As well I. e. M.Sc. In Biochemistry. According to me, if we talk about the scope, Biochemistry is better somehow. After your M.Sc. You can think working with in field of Medical, Agriculture, Public Health Care, Forensic Environment etc. As there is a lot of scope of research.
