Admission process:
Central Agricultural University (CAU) offers courses to aspirants at undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) level. Programmes offered at CAU are in science stream. The university comprises of seven colleges which also includes a college of postgraduate studies.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses
General category students meet Central Agricultural Universitys eligibility criteria to secure admission in UG courses if they have cleared their class 12 with at least 50% aggregate marks in subjects like physics, chemistry, biology/mathematics and agriculture. For SC/ST/PH/In service category students the minimum aggregate percentage to be eligible for admission is 40%.
Age Limit: Aspirants should be 17 years of age to meet CAU eligibility criteria.

Candidates can secure admission in PG level courses if they possess a bachelors degree in science stream from a recognised college/university.
Admission Process for UG Courses
Aspirants are offered admission in UG programmes through nomination by respective states of North East Region as well as ICAR/VCI, on the basis of entrance test held by them.
Elaborating the same the official website informs: Based on the population of each constituent state, quota has been fixed for undergraduate programmes for various states and the admission is given to the candidates sponsored by the respective states based on the common entrance test conducted by them. In addition to states quota, 15% seats for undergraduate programmes are filled up by the ICAR/VCI, based on AllIndia Entrance Examination.
Admission Process for PG Courses:
The admission process for postgraduate courses is such that aspirants are shortlisted for admission basis merit in qualifying degree exam as well as nomination by ICAR.
The official website: Candidates with Bachelors degree in concerned/related subjects from a recognised university with OGPA of 6.00 out of 10.00 or equivalent percentage of marks are eligible for admission to the Masters Degree programmes. SC/ST candidates with OGPA of 5.50 in the Bachelors degree shall be eligible for the admission.

It was established in 1916 by Madan Mohan Malaviya. With over 30,000 students residing in campus, it claims the title of the largest residential university in Asia. Banaras Hindu University conducts national level undergraduate (UET) and postgraduate (PET) entrance tests usually during MayJune for admission for which registrations begin usually in FebruaryMarch. Admissions are done according to merit in the entrance tests, subject to fulfilling of other eligibility requirements. Admissions to B.Tech. /B.Pharma. , M.Tech. /M.Pharma. Are done through JEE and GATE respectively. Admission to MBA and MBA-IB are done through IIM-CAT score and also through separate BHU-MBA entrance tests. Admissions for Ph.D. are done on the basis of either qualification of National Eligibility Test (NET) by the candidates or through the scores of CRET (Common Research Entrance Test). Admissions in IMS are done through PMT exam. BHU UET B.Sc. Exam paper is divided into three categories:
