There is nothing like solar engineering in under graduate , post graduate or doctorate. Solar energy comes under renewable energy or non-conventional energy and is very simple in technology. It is taught in engineering colleges to mechanical, electrical and electronics stream of students.

When it comes to hotel management u dont have to look for recoginition .Look at their faculties their infrastructure like do they have proper kitchen and restaraunt facility.Also the placements the kind hotels which comes to their campus for recruitment.Share you mail id i can refer a good institute

The detail that you have read is true to an extend. As per the AICTE norms or equality notice, the Overseas 1 year MBA/MS programs are not considered equivalent to the Indian MBA/MSc programs which are typically for 2 years. That is the reason why for further studies, you cannot move ahead after a qualification from countries like UK. But when you consider the job market, baring the so called government jobs, for private companies, this should not be a hinderance for you as the companies would be looking for overall development and the knowledge, rather than just the number of years that you have studied.
