Don't take tension if you have score less marks don't go for diploma. Instead of going for diploma, you go fort he degree itself. Because diploma is a 3 year course and after diploma you'll get admission directly in 2nd year of engineering but you think what about other 2 years you'll waste them. If you go for degree, in 4 years you'll be an engineer.
All the Best !

The branch will depend on your likes and dislikes which cannot be guided by others. All engineering streams have demand in the job market provided you have the basic employability skills. There are many engineers are unemployed because they don't possess employability skills. It is not the degree or stream but the employability that decides your future.
