Being a girl and mechanical engineer, I would like to establish this here that any engineering branch- computer or mechanical, is good for a girl. It is a myth that it is difficult for girls to pursue mechanical or automotive or any such engineering! If you have interest in this field, dont hold back for anything! There are plenty of design and R&D jobs, so you dont necessarily have to work on a shop floor of manufacturing unit. The people suggesting Computer Science and the like probably dont know that girls can do anything and everything they want.

Hi
Firstly be thorough with NCERT and practice all examples too. Once you hv done that then switch to RD Sharma. Do understand that 80% of your paper is based on ncert. the rest 20% is conceptual and difficulty level is high and can be from any book. Practice last 5 years paper too.
