Yes; you may surely pursue MBA in IT after compelting B.Com, however please note that to get admission in this program the preference is given to graduates in IT/Computer Science/Computer Application; or in engineering or with IT related experience.
As you are currently pursuing B.Com so in that case pursuing MBA in Finance would be the best option for you.
The other best option for you would be to work for 2-3 years after completing your graduation.

If you mean full time MBA or PGDM program then please remember in order to pursue this program you need to take various management entrance test like CAT, MAT, XAT, SNAP, etc.
Please note that without taking management entrance test it would not be possible for you to get admission in this program.

As per your query as you have gap of 7 years after completing class 12th so in that case I would suggest you to first complete your graduation through distance education.
As you have not mentioned which stream you had in class 12th so in that case you may consider pursuing BA, BBA etc. as both these course can be pursued by students from any stream.
As pursuing distance education you do not have to go to college on regular basis so in that case I would suggest you to pursue some short term job oriented diploma or certification course in:
1. Basic Computing.
2. Advance Excel.
3. Web Designing
