Depending on the branch and university, B.tech/ B.E in UK can be 3 to 4 years whereas in india its always 4 yrs. You must have 13 years education to be eligible for B.tech in UK so ideally, you will be in Bachelor's 1st year for applying to UK. Check here for more details on UK.

Let me explain about the entrance test. Any entrance test that consist of Arithmetic, English, Logical reasoning and general knowledge on contemporary issues. Mathematics and English that will be 10th class standard in most of the situation. If you are week in mathematics related areas you can join some training institutes like TIME, IMS etc. or you can also start preparation with RS Agarwal for aptitude and for English Wren and Martin. And regularly read English newspapers. Previous papers need to be practiced. All the best.
