IMO, DTU is better.
DTU has pretty awesome placements when it comes to branches like COE (Computer Engineering), IT and Software Engineering (only in DTU). By pretty awesome I mean that if one isn't a dimwit and has scored above 60% with no standing backlogs one is bound to get a good offer. Above 8 lpa is normal for this bracket. Even with not so good acads, if one has the right skills one could end up with a high paying job. Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon, Yahoo, Direct i.all the biggies visit DTU.
There are some great non-tech opportunities too. Deloitte (hires quite generously (25-30 from each of the campuses)), Bain, JP Morgan, Barclays, Ernst and Young, Bank Of America, RBS (last two for software profiles).many non-tech biggies come too.
When it comes to other branches, one may have to look for software/non tech jobs as core jobs are pretty less in number. ECE has many biggies like CISCO, Cosmic Circuits, Freescale, Qualcomm, Cadence, Texas Instruments visiting the campus. But still these companies don't hire too many and a large portion of the batch has to look for option in software and non-tech jobs which the serious ones eventually bag with normal efforts.
For Mechanical at DTU there are awesome core opportunities. Almost all the mechanical biggies come.
For Electrical, Civil. I don't have much information but none of my friends who were interested in core jobs were left disappointed in the end. So there are many opportunities in the core sector, and if one is performing decently when it comes to academics one has a fair chance of bagging a core job.
