Hello,
Yes, if you are pursuing general MBA in a particular B-school then you are allowed to decide your choice of stream/specialization during the first year. However, the same is not applicable if you're pursuing MBA in a fixed field I.e. MBA (IT) or MBA (IB), etc.

It is a medium level course. If you have nice base in biology and chemistry it will be easy for you to do food technology. If you complete PG you can work in government sectors as food inspector and also can do as lectures in reputed colleges. It is a nice course.

The admission process of JBIMS for its MMS course is quite simple. Clear the CET or CAT cut-off, pay the admission fees and you are in, irrespective of your overall profile. So having work experience is not at all compulsory.
