It totally depends on college to college if they invite companies to pick people for internship.
You can expect students of top B School to get internships as usually they are been absorbed by those companies once they complete their MBA programme.

IP University is a very good University and have good affiliated colleges and have good value in the market.
the admission for this year is over as the application were open till April 2014. You can next year in 2015 where in the applications will start somewhere in February.

Hello Meghna,
There is no much difference between MBA and PGDM.Some tell MBA is a degree but PGDM is just diploma.Even it is post graduate diploma it is equivalent to MBA in all aspects.Lets see small differences:
Some Universities admit P.hd students only if they have master degree(PGDMis not eligible).But top tier institutes like IIMs,IITs,XLRI consider PGDM students also.
Important point is that the institute ofering PGDM must be AICTE approved and AIU approved(Atleast AICTE is mandatory).If it is not approved by AICTE please dont join there.
I think UGC-NET exam does not allow PGDM students.But it is not much usefull.
