Yes, you can definitely think of studying for engineering in France. With population on decline, many French universities and colleges are offering English as medium of instruction also. However your score of less than 60% may cause some turbulence. I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information about this. 1. At least 18Years of age.
2. Pass Class 12 with PCM, 50% Aggregate. Apart from the above no other primary qualifications are required to start the CPL Training. Class 1 medical (For Issue of CPL) is required later, although it should be done in advance to confirm if you have any observations in medical standard required for a pilot. Now if you do not have PCM @ +2 level than at present you are not eligible. But you may attain eligibility by appearing PCM subjects in the next attempt of board exams. All the best.

The course you mentioned is a good one. I would advise you to take up the course you like. Also Xavier's is a well-known college, but first select the course you feel is appropriate and then search for top colleges for that particular course.

Placements for all branches are good. If you are in top 10% of your branch, than there are more opportunities. Training and placement cell works in a better way.
