community. Every year 30-40 students attend UNM from India in all
disciplines and almost 99% of Indian students get some sort of
funding. ECE and Computer science have very good course structure with
good research faculty. This city is better compared to other cities in
US in terms of any Racial/drug related casualities. Places around
University where Indian student community live is safe and very close
to the campus. We can rate it 3/5.

with your Master's you can geta job easily. They have career fairs for
engineering twice a year and companies hold inerviews for various
disciplines in the campus. They have two National Labs here in this
state and Intel, HP, GE, have their manufacturing plants and provide
jobs locally. As this city is growing numerous infrastructure
companies have their offices and employe good number of graduates from
UNM.

can comfortably live in a decent apartment with 2-3 Roommates and can
afford 3 meals a day without any problem. He/She can afford a decent
dinner in restaurants once or twice a week. To afford a car he/she
need to make around $1500 a month.

apartments (usually 2 BR which cost approx 800 per month).
