Hello ,Placement of any department depends upon the college. If you are studying in a branded college like IIT, NIT, BITS Pilani, Jadavpur university then department turns out to be crucial regarding packages offered. Except CSE and IT no department has done wonders on placement considering the whole batch. Placement solely depends upon a candidate and placement options are available in good colleges only. Regarding food tech & BIOCHEMICAL engineering at jadavpur university placement in core companies like ITC, Carlsberg has seen a decline in past few years and highest package offered was 6 LACS p.a. in core. But batch strength is also small so highest package is not a factor. This year 2 guys have been placed in Deloitte, Mu-sigma and most of the rest in Accenture and infosys. However again I would say batch strength was 19 only, so you can't expect too much diversity.

The student who has scored 70% in their Class 12 exams with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and English as their subjects. They have several options to choose from for their future studies, including Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. ), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma), Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. )/Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech. ), Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The choice of course should depend on their interests, career goals, and the admission criteria of the institutions they are interested in.
