Placement record is somewhat good only. There are a lot of companies coming to recruit students in electrical branch and overall also. The placement record of VIT has been really good in the recent years. Highest in my knowledge was around Rs.25 lakhs and average is around Rs.4-5 lakhs.

Admission in IIT is not based on 12th percentage it only depends on your Advanced rank. Since i don't know how was this year's paper but still at 150/372 its very hard to get good branch in any IIT. Also i'm not sure but the 12th percentage issue may also arise as one must have above 75% in boards.

Admission to IIT Delhi is by JEE Advance. Admission to DTU and it's affiliated colleges, IGDTUW, IIITD, NSIT is through JEE Mains. Admission to GGSIPU and it's affiliated colleges is based on entrance examinations conducted by GGSIPU. Private universities in NCR have their own admission processes.
