B.Com is general preference still one can choose BBA / BMS also as a higher level of accounting and finance will be surely a part of CA studies. But, exposure to management (Marketing / Advertising) will always be advantageous.

Journalism is one field that will not be collapsed no matter what because the process of exchanging information won't stop.
At the end it depends on you, what course you want to do. Any course if it is of your choice and matches your capability level will be beneficial.
Which college do you want to know about?

Should I suppose computer engineering or you want to know about other branches?
Anyway, the advantages are:
You will take less analytical maths (i.e. calculus, a lot of calculus). You will take less physics classes.
Consequence: You have more pure CS focused classes already in the first year. So, of course, you will do more software and programming things, but also a lot of theoretical CS stuff, that sometimes aren't so funny. You will be more prepared for algorithms, optimization and information theory.
