For 2022, the cut-off was 107607 for General category candidates in the All India quota for BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering at Assam University, Silchar. For female candidates in the general category under the All India quota, 168488 was the closing rank. BTech cut-off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering was 81716 which is very close to this range. This was for the general category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut-offs keep changing year on year, it's advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to Assam University, Silchar.

Your calculated rank will be somewhere around, 40000 to 5000 that is too high for any NIT or IIIT. You need a minimum of 99 percentile if you are aiming for CSE as it is the most sought after branch in the engineering and therefore have very high cutoffs, under 5-10k.

The last year’s 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering at Assam University, Silchar other than the General category are - 90001 for OBC, 203619 for SC, 291993 for ST, 84354 for EWS, 1823 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut-offs also change a lot depending on the All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the general category under All India, the opening rank was 36694 and the closing rank was 81716. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even the domicile of the home state. In All India, the opening and closing rank for female candidates was 39620 and 103582. To raise objection candidates, have to log in to their XAT account and fill the objection form. To claim objection, they need to upload a supporting document.
