On the contrary, a class teacher or a subject teacher may be in a better position to write an LOR for the student because the association is far deeper, they have a meaningful and more informed perspective on the student's character, abilities, and potential.

Undergraduate students can take LORs from their teachers, project guides, internship supervisor, coaches, club advisors, employers, and mentors. The recommender must be someone who has known the student from close quarters, has taught/ guided him, can comment on his strengths and qualities and support the same with evidences.
