Hi Himanshu, I am assuming that your query is regarding JRF Examination. And for that I would say that it is the first step in the process of admission to the Ph.D/ Research Program through council's support.
The award of Junior Research Fellowship to the successful eligible candidates will depend on their finding placement in a medical college / hospital / university / national laboratory / institution of higher learning and research as applicable. The candidates who qualify JRF Examination of UGC/CSIR NET are also eligible for the post of lectureship. The validity of the offer is two years from the date of issue of JRF award letter.
In case the candidates have already joined M.Phil. /Ph.D., the date of commencement of fellowship will be from the date of declaration of NET examination result or date of their joining, whichever is later.
