Hardly any branch has retained it's top position except perhaps IT/CSE. Both the branches mentioned by you can be called as evergreen branches. Both have similar chances of placements. With this percentage it is very difficult to get admission in NITs or good government colleges but you can apply in good private universities or institutes. You can also try for state level counseling for engineering admission.

1. Exam pathway : The 80% of B.Tech Seats will be filled through UPES Exam pathway also known as (UPES Engineering Aptitude Test UPES-EAT followed by Centralized Counseling.
