No Malayalam is not part of the linguistic minority in SIESCOMS this year. Only Tamil speaking students will be considered to be part of the linguistic minority quota.
SIES is a Linguistic Minority Institute (Tamil). Hence 50 per cent seats of all
programs are reserved for Maharashtra domiciled Tamil speaking students. However,
if adequate number of qualified candidates is not available from the above category,
such seats are made open to general candidates.

YES, you can do preparation for IES exam during your jobs. Maximum candidates do such preparation, because after getting job in their placements they are not in position to leave the job.
So, they prepare for IES while doing their job.for this you have to do hard work apart from the job. You can do any correspondence course.there are many institutes for correspondence course for IES exam.
Hey, also go through previous years question papers, mock test etc.
