Hello Aman
Amity are given constant mentoring & incubation support in bringing out Start-Ups and companies, because of around 30% of PG students have started their own ventures. The rest got placements in companies of very high repute.
The placement packages at Amity University have always been exceptionally great for our great IB champs, many of whom have got over Rs. 21 LPA.

It's difficult to comment whether the course is good or not as definition may differs from person to person but the course seems average from this particular institute. It depends on what you want to do in your career. If you want to do scientific research, Ph.D is a must. If you want to work in a company or handle an engineering project, both Ph.D and Master's degree are influential. If your work is related to research and development, Ph.D is better since it equips your mind with skills to do scientific research. That being said, a Master's degree is also accompanied by research, but the intensity of research is definitely a lot more in a Ph.D.
