Hello Samiksha, According to the norms of the NTA you are eligible to appear in the UGC NET but not with the HRM-55. There is a rule to choose the subject code. Candidate can apply in the subject in which they have completed their Masters or with the related subject. For working professionals, study plan has to be customized according to their work profile. Generally, most preferred books include:
Verbal- Word power made easy, Wren and Martin for Grammar, Newspaper editorials and Books for Comprehension (these include the max weightage)
LR/DI- Arun Sharma/Nishit Sinha
Quants- Arun Sharma.
These are the most preferred books, though it depends on personal capacity and preference of students. Along with these, you could join some test series to track your performance vis a vis other aspirants (test series attempted by more students gives a more genuine picture of your performance).
