No, AU is not better than Banaras Hindu University for the B.A LL.B as in AU you can't find such an experienced faculty that are present in BHU plus in BHU you will get study environment that is not available in AU. Placements of last year of BHU has average package of 5 LPA whereas of AU is just 2.25 LPA.

There are plenty of colleges offering this branch across breadth of India. But of course restrictions put in place by each state government applies and as a result issues of domicile and state government's CET will also come in. Of course deemed to be universities have their own exams and give admission on pan India basis. Yes, you can get this branch in most of the colleges like IIITs and NITs but be careful while choosing the college. All the colleges are not good, even some GFTIs are better than the NITs and IIITs.

Usually, the eligibility criteria is 10+2 formal education and then proper graduation degree in any of the fields. If the college does not accept diploma instead of a degree then you can look for some other good colleges as well.
An example of IMT as they consider both degree and diploma after class 12th.

As per your subject you can apply for UGC NET Tourism & Management exam.
