Representing the next higher educational degree after engineering, it takes the engineers to the higher and more specialized levels of technology. After M. Tech, an engineer, if he / she wishes, can go for a doctorate, which has a big demand in the areas of research and administration in the field of technology with highly lucrative pecuniary rewards and more gratifying work ethic and culture.
An MBA degree is generally considered the best possible option for a graduate of engineering in the professional sector and the sooner it is acquired after B. 1. You may opt for courses like LLB, M.Com, CA or CRISIL Certified Analyst Program (CCAP) or in banking sector like Diploma in Banking & Financial Services. Even MBA is great option.
2. M.Phil is a special research degree and only awarded by selected departments of a university (mostly in the fields of Arts, Social Sciences, Archeology, Philosophy and Theology). Admission to this program is pretty selective and primarily aimed at those students opting for an academic career.
3. The eligibility criteria for Ph.D varies for every institute. However the basic requirement is a Masters degree or an equivalent degree in the relevant discipline. However the cut off percentages vary. Some of the institutes conduct entrance exams and some of them require atleast two Research Publications for the Ph.D programs. Some also require work experience of a couple of years.
