For entry into an MSc program, you do not need experience, That being one of the major hindrances that our Indian students face. A foundation course is a base from which you can build up your masters course. But not every masters course requires you to take a foundation course, unless and until the university specifically asks for that or your marks in the qualifying graduation program is less as to the requirement of the university. Taking a foundation program alone will not get you an entry into a prestigious university. And before you take up a decision on the university, where you would like to take up your course, check for the credentials(ratings) of the university for that department. Just with the name, do not go for any subject. Each university os graded on their specific criteria. Some may be high in one, and they may be low on some other criteria. So what you exactly need is a good consultant and most importantly a good research into the program that you plan to do .
