Dear Rishikesh, You need to have decent high school results, SAT, TOEFL & SAT Subject (Maths, Physics) besides a portfolio to demonstrate creativity for a UG in Arch - B Arch in USA, which is a 5 yrs course.
If you are planning for an M Arch course, you require GRE & TOEFL & a creative portfolio along with a related undergrad degree earned which is 2 yrs.

Dear Rama, Indeed the best country is Germany for doing Ms in Mechanical Engineering but it really depends on your future aspirations. What undergrad you have done & how much you have scored is also important besides when you completed the same. Lastly countries like USA would require you to have GRE & TOEFL besides good academic scores where as UK, Canada or Australia may only require TOEFL/IELTS.
