Firstly if you are interested in software domain, it would be good to have some IT/Software degree/certification.
If you already have, you are good to go. If do not, it is never too late.
You can opt for MCA/Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA)/B.Tech-IT . If you already has professional degree then you can better select a technology such as Java/.Net/PHP. You can also peruse a short term course in these. It will really help you to enter and go further in your desired direction.
Some of good courses already answered earlier.
