Angiras, there are good careers out there for UI/ UX Designers. Usually this currently is taught alongside web design but later you can specialize in the same. Usual Web Design course at Arena is 12-15 months on normal track. The course is called GWDD. Through this you'll be equipped for Graphic Design as well as PHP based opensource website integration, UI Design, etc besides Web Design and Flash Animation and Apps at the end of this period. This would ensure that you're ready for web design and development (the career you're looking at right now) as well as many more career options that the future holds for the design fraternity. So you would not miss out when the growth starts with mobile gaming and LMS. If you are interested to learn elsewhere, you may look for courses similar to this. Internationally too, you must go for Programs that have UID/ UXD as their mainstay. Alternatively you can go for a longer course which has design alongwith animation since the Web is becoming a richer medium and students with exposure to animation get a preference. XAT:
Eligibility
Here are the eligibility criteria for XAT 2016:
Candidates must have completed Bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university from India/abroad.
Final year candidates can also apply, provided they complete final examination by June 10. XAT Associate Member Institutes (XAMI) may have a different date regarding completion of final examination. Please refer to the concerned institute's website for more details.
Note: There's no specific age limit for XAT exam.
MAT:
Eligibility
Here's the eligibility criteria for the MAT 2015 exam (MAT September 2015):
Graduates in any discipline can take the exam.
Final year graduation students can also apply.
There's no age limit for MAT exam.

You are absolutely on the right track of thinking, as you are have already completed BMS, it would be always advisable for you to work for 1-2 years after completing it and then opt for MBA (Full time/Part Time/ Executive/Correspondence)
A student with a BMS degree has several career options, like in banking sector, real state and many more fields.
With BMS degree in your hand you can look for entry level jobs in these sectors, and with hard work and dedication you can climb up the success ladder.
The advantage of having work experience and then pursuing MBA are:
You will gain relevant work experience, and you will learn how to implement theoretical knowledge in practical situations.
After working you will know in which specialization (marketing, finance, HR) you are actually interested in, and accordingly you can select the best specialization as per your interest and liking, this work experience would help you to get admission in good universities and institutes.
Finally if you work for some years, you can yourself finance partial or full tuition fees for the universities.
