For Lateral Entry seats in government college's entrance exams is the only way to secure a seat.
However for Lateral entry admission in private colleges apart from entrance exams direct admission through management quota is also possible.
Though diploma engineering courses may help in an early exposure to the job market yet, you may miss out a few opportunities due to lack of a degree.
In this case, you can opt for lateral entry in B.Tech.

You can apply for it, B. Des in InteriorDesign, Students coming from any 10+2 or graduation discipline from a recognised university, or board with a minimum aggregate of 50%, can appear for any entrance or admission process or any design course.
