As is the case in India, UK also has good, average and bad universities and accordingly the quality of MS will also differ. As a graduate engineer, you know that every graduate does not get same salary because it depends upon the company, candidate's credentials and how he performs during the interview. Similarly, in UK, which university you go to, what becomes your degree grade and where you apply, will decide the salary level.
As a rule, student VISA is not extended by UK and USA. After completion of MS, you will have to apply for job and based on appointment letter, you will have to apply for fresh work permit and VISA.
