Game designing and game development are related but distinct processes in the creation of a video game. Game designing involves the creative process of coming up with a game concept, mechanics, rules, and structure. While game designers may work closely with game developers, they have different areas of expertise and responsibilities. Game designers focus on the game's overall vision, mechanics, and gameplay experience, while game developers focus on implementing and programming the game's features and assets. Both game designing and game development are important parts of the game creation process, and success requires a strong collaboration between the two areas.
