The SMU being a University (duly recognized by the UGC) is authorized to start and conduct new programs/courses, without obtaining prior approval of the AICTE.

Keeping your concern in mind I would say that most colleges do have a provision for quota. You need to contact the college officials directly for specific admission details as it differs from one college to another.
