For open category student we have Government of India Scholarship scheme
Students who secure admission in SIBM and whose total family income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2.00 lakh per annum, will be eligible for the scholarship under the scheme limited to the number of scholarships allocated to the institute.

These days students with medical background have other options too. Other than MBBS then can also go for profession degrees like B.Tech. There is B.Tech in biotech, food tech etc for medical students and these too are good options. You can give them a try too.

You can go for diploma in Mechanical after your 10th class. If you have done 12th then you can opt for B.Tech in mechanical. In case you are already a B.Tech then go for M.Tech in mechanical.
Check the websites of some of the universities to check the eligibility criteria of some of the universities.
Othe than simple diploma or degree these days we have integrated diploma-B.Tech courses, integrated diploma-B.Tech-M.Tech courses, integrated B.Tech-M.Tech courses etc also available with many reputed universities.
