Biotechnology is a mixture of many fields, one of which will be biochemistry. On the other hand, a pure biochemistry course will give you in-depth knowledge about biomolecules and related stuff.
*Advantage of Biotechnology:
You'll get to see a wider picture, probably with an application of biochemistry.
You'll get to experience different fields. You'll never know what you'd like if you don't try.
*Advantage of biochemistry:
If you're totally sure that biochemistry is your thing, then you might as well focus on that.
A course dedicated to biochemistry will give you extensive knowledge.

Dear, every branch has good scope, but it depends on candidate. As we all know that mechanical engineering is the evergreen branch and after completing this course from top colleges, you will definitely get good jobs in future. Also, there are many more branches in demand like electrical engineering, CSE, civil engineering. So, it will depend on you & your own interest. Every branch has their importance so choose that field, in which you have like the most, so that you don't face any problem at the time appearing.
Best of luck for your bright future.

Hi Raman,
59% is a poor score for Canadian universities. First decide what to study and then check for the admission requirements. You are not eligible for MS programs from universities since around 75% is required. But you can check PG Diploma or Graduate Certificate courses. Check here:

It is a good enough college. Most departments have adequate labs and equipment. The whole college was refurbished in 2013, so everything is in good condition.
The placement scenario is better, as there are companies coming for each and every branch. If you have potential, you will get a good job in your branch.
If not on campus, then off campus too, because of the strategic location of Pune.
New opportunities are opening up every year, as the college is improving its status.
