The procedure of lateral entry depends on various factors, some of them are listed below :
1.) The base course should be the same i.e as you have done diploma in pharmacy, you will be eligible for the lateral entry for B.pharma course but not in a dental course.
2.) The college where you want study through lateral entry should accept your diploma course .
3.) You should meet the percentage criteria of the college .
