Uma. your query is genuine. but one thing that you need to realise is that it isnot the UGC recognition which will get you a settled job /Career in the later years. It is yoru knowledge of the subject and your expertise in the field which will help you grwo. For a start to find out which institution is recognised, you can check for AICTE / UGC recognition. However there are many institutions (best in India and known all over the world) like IIMs which is not under any such recognition tables. So check for the alumni, check for the faculties, check for the course validity in the market and go for a good one.

As The cut off keeps on changing every year it would be difficult to give any concrete information about the cut offs of the Engineering Institutes in PGECET Entrance Examination.
