It's very good that you are aiming for government engineering colleges because the degrees of government colleges are more of value in the market. In Tamil Nadu you just need board's marks for a good college, not the entrance.

Job or teaching in India, don't even waste your money and time on PGDBA. In general, institutes running MBA courses are approved by respective universities and another supreme holy cow called - AICTE. Also, get over this confusion of PGDBA and PGDM offered by IIMs. IIMs do not, I repeat, do not offer PGDBA.

Guide-Level 12

Yes, PGDBA is equivalent to MBA at SCDL. MBA and PGDM are both business orientated courses. The main aim of the courses is to equip a person who wants to move up in the hierarchy and enter in to the management field. MBA only provides degree to institutes associated to a university, while PGDM is not affiliated to any university and has its own syllabus. MBA is offered by universities and colleges affiliated to universities whereas an independent institution offer PGDM.

Guide-Level 12

Actually, change of college depends on the university norms. As far I know it is possible only in the beginning of 2nd year, provided that your previous year's marks are good.
First, get permission from the department of your college. You should talk to your teacher in charge.
