Totally, Thumbs up for Chandigarh University :) I am not saying because I am a part of this University and it is my duty to be positive about CU but because being a part of this university, I am the right person to guide everyone over here.
Chandigarh University is a very big platform to explore your dreams, your ambitions and your achievements. It has a large number of courses which are indeed important for variety of students as No student is same and has different capabilities.
I am a student of Computer Science Engineering batch 20152019. Computer science engineering has a largest number of students and no student is left apart from the exposure and from the attention of the faculty. For my batch, the aim of companies that will visit our campus is around 400 companies and around 250 is specifically for CSE branch. I have been placed in MICROSOFT as a technical support engineer at a package of 9 LPA. I have been placed in august in the DAY ZERO company. After Microsoft, around 50 companies that includes 5 mass recruiters have already visited in these 2 months. It is a proud opportunity to be a part of this institution as this has helped me to achieve my dream.

At present, the scientific, analytical and problem-solving skills developed by microbiology graduates are high in demand by employers.
There are various options available for you after studying for a microbiology degree.
You can choose to stay in education & do a master degree or Ph.D in microbiology. Whether you can decide to enter into the job market after graduation degree.
You can work in both the government as well as in private sectors. Microbiologists are mostly demanded in the UK, US, France, Australia, and Germany.
With a degree in microbiology you can get opportunities in various fields like healthcare organizations, forensic science laboratories, environmental organizations, higher education institutions, food and drink, publicly funded research organizations, pharmaceuticals and many other industries.
In the medicine and health care field, your work is usually associated with prevention & treatment of illnesses linked with microbes.
Various universities & Institutions employ microbiologists as teachers & researchers.

Becoming a commercial pilot, there is a specific eligibility criteria, which you should first be aware of. This is decided on what subjects have you taken in class 12th. It requires PCM to be a pilot. And, even if you have not opted for the same, then you can appear separately for these subjects and become eligible. Further, you should be aware that you are medically fit to be a pilot, so I would suggest you to visithttp://www.dgca.nic.in/medical/medical-ind.htmandgoto the class 2nd examiners tab to find out doctors who will examine you for initial fitness. You can visit any doctorate from the list as per your convenience. Once you are done with Class 2nd medical, find out a suitable flying club for you as per your convenience. You can fly in India or abroad. I would suggest you fly in India. Besides finding the club, be aware that you will have to appear for:
1. Air Navigation
2. Aviation Meteorology
3. Air Regulations
4. Aviation Technical
5. Aircraft Specific
6. Radio Telephony
Here, 1-5 are conducted by DGCA and 6 is conducted by WPC. Prepare for these subjects and appear, as exams are conducted every quarterly. For preparation, flying club will help you or there are private instructors available in metro cities as well. You will fly for 200Hrs + Clear DGCA and WPC exams + Clear Class 1st medical, then you shall get your CPL. The next license is ATPL, which you shall be able to apply for once. You will then have to probably fund or self-sponsor your type rating on whatever fleet you are selected in an airline. Then, you finally get a job as a pilot. I hope the process is well explained to you. CPL is an expensive affair. It might cost you around Rs.18-20 Lacs for flying + DGCA exams Rs.500/- each exam + Medicals for Rs.10, 000 + endorsements and license issue fees around Rs.25k + Type Rating around Rs.15 Lacs. So, decide wisely before you enter the field.

Professors go for value-based education which is something we as professionals would require in our career. Guest lectures by experts and some really successful people are arranged by our department to widen our scope of learning.
Most of faculty members are from IIM or from elite B- Schools (India/Abroad. They have decade of experience. Faculty was really helping. Even they helped her after regular university hours for her projects.
Entrepreneurship projects are integral part of curriculum and help establish themselves as successful entrepreneurs. I got opportunity to work on community development project on social issues to cultivate social sensitivity and sense of responsibility.
University has collaboration/Tie up with the companies like NSE, Safe Educate, ICICI Direct, HDFC, etc. to give students the opportunity for pursuing live projects and/or professional certifications like NCCMP, NCFM etc.
The placements are exemplary. Im a pass-out myself and Im placed in a decent company, while some of my friends are placed abroad, too. Industrial exposure is offered through in-house training programs. The university organizes many external workshops for us. The package provided by on-campus jobs is also satisfactory.
