The Summer Placements: These are internships and salary may range from a few lakhs to even 10,000 per month and is for a period of two to three months. This internship may turn into a full time job based on your performance.
Final Placements: The type of job you get depends on your two years you spent at IIM, your grades, your extra-curriculars and internship. Your final placement salary may range from One Crore to 50,000 or so per month and it depends on the IIM you study in also.

IIIM-A:
Highest salary: 1.38 crore and 70 lakhs as highest international salary
Median Salary: Average domestic salary would be about 18 lakhs.
IIM-B:
Highest salary: Highest domestic salary was 53 lakhs whereas, highest international salary was 73.38 lakhs.
Median Salary: Average domestic salary would be about 18-20 lakhs.
IIM-C:
Highest salary: 33.7 lakhs was the highest salary in 2015.
Median Salary: 17-18 lakhs was the median salary last year.
