Assuming you want to make a career in the "Banking & Finance" sector (since you've posted the query there), I'd suggest the following short term courses: -
(1) Diploma in Banking & Finance (DBF) offered by the "Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF)" (www.iibf.org.in) - IIBF is the leading institute in banking & finance, established way back in the year 1928! The CAIIB & JAIIB - The flagship courses of IIBF (erstwhile IIB) is quite popular across the banking sector. Check there website for more details.
(2) CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP) offered by the Financial Planning Standards Board India (www.fpsbindia.org) is a short term course (read 9 months) for all those who want to make a career in the "personal finance" domain. The course is widely endorsed by the industry (read: - banking, mutual funds, insurance & broking sector). Please check the website for details
(3) Mutual Fund Distributors Certification examination (Series V A) conducted by the National Institute of Securities Market (NISM) (www.nism.ac.in) is also a sort after & mandatory certification for all those who plan to make a career in an Asset Management Company (AMC)
(4) Certified Personal Financial Advisor (CPFA) is a junior certification to the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP) certification mentioned herein above. The CPFA certification is offered by NISM and is widely been sort by professionals who plan to make a career in the "personal finance" domain

After completion of your course, you will have to attend the various job fairs and then get a good offer which is more than the requirements for the visa.
Before you can apply you must satisfy the following work permit requirements:
Have received a confirmed offer of employment from a licensed UK employer who will act as your sponsor; and Be in possession of a Certificate of Sponsorship issued by your sponsoring employer; and Pass the points-based assessment, details of which can be found on the category specific work permit pages.
As a UK work permit holder you can qualify for permanent residence if you have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum of five years. Once you have satisfied the five year requirement you may qualify for Indefinite Leave to remain in the UK (ILR), which can be then be followed by British Naturalisation as a UK citizen.
