For B.Tech in Marine Engineering through lateral entry, there isn't a common, mandatory entrance exam like IMU CET for direct entry. Instead, admissions are often based on merit, typically determined by the aggregate marks in the qualifying Diploma or degree, and may include additional assessments like interviews or group discussions.

This one is from my favourite subject i.e Physics :)
Here is your answer between :-

Conservative vs Non-Conservative Forces (NCERT Class 11 Physics Chapter 5):

Conservative Forces:

  • Work done is path-independent (depends only on initial and final positions)
  • Work done in a closed path = 0
  • Energy is conserved
  • Examples: Gravitational force, elastic spring force, electrostatic force

Non-Conservative Forces:

  • Work done is path-dependent
  • Work done in closed path? 0
  • Energy is not conserved (converted to other forms like heat)
  • Examples: Friction, air resistance, viscous force

In Physics, Power is the rate at which work is done or energy gets transferred per unit time. It is expressed by the following formulae:

P stands for power, W is for work, t is for time. Power is measured in unit Watt (W) where 1 watt = 1 joule per second. Another unit which is commonly used to measure the power is horsepower (hp), 1hp =746 W.
Power at a specific moment is instantaneous and over a period it is average.

The work-energy theorem in Physics Work, Energy and Power refers to that net work done on an object is equal to its change in kinetic energy. The following is the formula:

Work-energy theorem means that when work is done on an object, the object gains kinetic energy and when an object does the work, it loses kinetic energy. This theorem helps in solving problems related to motion and forces without directly using kinematic equations. It is especially useful in conservative and non-conservative forces cases and it helps in simplifying complex motion analysis.
