Java has a wider scope. But growth in java domain will take more time than in .net. If the project needs to run in windows only and future versions of it and dont forsee any major changes in platform,then surely go for .NET,.NET is especially made for windows,since it provides a very good UI,also it is very easy for referencing external assemblies very efficiently for your project,which Java programmers find it very difficult.
Now if the project needs to run on Linux or UNIX as well (or maybe even OpenVMS),then Java is better.
Javas advantage is it is supported in almost all platforms ( even Windows ).

You are doing a good course. Keeping your dreams apart, you can continue your course, If you are very serious about your dreams then you can join Pilot Training Institutes / Flying clubs. try to first your interest because you don't know where you want to go.both of fields are opposite to each other.if you interested teaching in future position than go for B.Ed course otherwise if you want to be professional than go for other options.

Hi Bhavana, I would recommend IIT. If you can get admission in IIT then go for it. Qualification from IITs is well recognised in India and abroad. Also, the amount you will spend at a mediocre ranked univ abroad, with the same amount you can get IIT here.
