Hello! Dear Being an alumni of LPU I would like to throw light on the CHEMICAL ENGINEERING PROGRAMME of LPU. Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Chemistry Mathematics and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST&For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants). Student after successful completion of 2 years. At LPU may be given option to join partner/ receiving university abroad for the completion of programme subject to conditions and norms of regulatory bodies. For requisites and other clauses Additionally, International Exposure Option Student may be given an option to go for 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country as decided by the University subject to conditions. Engineering students at LPU are provided with enormous opportunities of placement drives. I can SEE my few friends getting placed in reputed companies like Hyundai, Reliance Energy, Godrej, Sandhar Technology, XL Dynamics and many more. Even IT industries recruit Mechanical students here. Companies like Microsoft, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, etc. Are prominent recruiters here. Apart from this, as a dentist you can seek work in the research and advisory departments of pharmaceuticals. Opportunities are there in companies producing oral care products like toothpaste, mouth wash, and gum care products.
If you want to go for higher studies then you may consider MDS in specialisations like Periodontology, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Prosthodontics & Crown and Bridge, Paediatric & Preventive Dentistry, Oral Pathology etc.
Pursue your BDS course from best colleges which have good facilities and provide good exposure like Lady Hardinge ,AIIMS, Maulana Azad, ACMS, Santosh University etc. And you will get good opportunities ahead. All the best!
