JEE Advanced Cutoff 2018-
IIT Kanpur has released the extended merit list for qualified candidates on June 14th. The authorities released the qualifying JEE Advanced 2018 cutoff along with the result on June 10th. Candidates securing a rank below the qualifying cutoff of JEE Advanced 2018 will not be considered eligible for admissions. In other words, candidates have to secure a rank above JEE Advanced 2018 cutoff to secure a seat. Candidates must note that the qualifying cutoff is not the same as the admission cutoff used at the time of JoSAA counselling.
In fact, JEE Advanced cutoff 2018 declared by JoSAA is the closing rank for admission to a particular engineering branch, at a particular IIT. All the Engineering fields have lot of scope & equal Job opportunities. If you like software development , coding , testing, hardware processing then you can go for CSE or if you have interest in mechanical then go for mechanical engineering. The main deciding factor should always be your area of interest. I will suggest you to go through the syllabus well in advance and choose as per your area of interest. I think its your engineering college which plays an important role in job placements. If you pursue your engineering from a good college then they have number of companies visiting the college for campus placement ie you have more options compared to lower grade colleges , and getting a job on campus is important these days else after passing out you have to look out for jobs and it is really tough to get a get job unless you have some good referrals. Try to get in to any of IITs or NITs or good privates ones like BITS Pilani, VIT, UPES Dehradun, UTM Shillong, MNIT etc. So choose wisely, work hard and do your best! Good luck :)

Prajwal ! i recommend you to go for bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering as the degree will help you to fetch good job with high salary.you can go for lateral entry but be careful while choosing the college.here are some of the good colleges where you can apply for admissions:
