What is BCA
Bachelor of Computer Applications or BCA is a three year degree course taught in several institutes and universities across India. A typical BCA course deals with software design and data base management and working with multiple data in the computer. BCA deals with subjects like C, C languages, Data Base Management, Logical Analysis, Operating Systems, Software Engineering and Client Server Technology.
Scope: A BCA program is the first important step for higher studies especially MCA. It prepares a student for IT and other professions either directly related or after higher studies. BCA provides a student with the much needed exposure of Computer Language applications and prepares a student for a Masters program in Computer Applications (MCA).
Job Prospects: BCA gives a student with a solid platform to further his career in the field of technology but it is strongly recommended that a student should opt for MCA to further his prospects in this competitive world. BCA is a good course but it is simply a bachelor's level degree and not much importance is given by both private and government organizations especially when compared to a B.Tech course.
