Hi, You have sufficient time to prepare for an IAS Job. General candidates get 4 attempts till they attain 30 yrs of Age. You need to have a bachelor's degree in any stream. You can also appear in the exam if you are awaiting your final results for bachelor's. There are 2 parts to the exam. Preliminary and Mains, both consists of compulsory papers of your choice and 1 optional paper. You can decide subject of your choice and buy study materials accordingly and start preparing now. Later, you can join some coaching institutes which are in Delhi.
Read atleast 2 to 3 National news papers every day. That helps a lot.
