Generally, aspirants join lateral B.Tech course after completing diploma in any engineering field to get direct entry into the second year. Degree course will open more opportunities for you.
Procedure :
To take admission, there is Lateral Entry Entrance Test or LEET which is conducted at state level. Some colleges and Universities too conduct their own lateral entry tests.

Hi,
If you wish to pursue the degree just for gaining knowledge, you can go ahead with distance degree.
But if you wish to practice as a lawyer, then the part time education might not allow you for the same as per the rules of Bar Council of India.
However, some good colleges that offer law course through distance mode-

For becoming a CA ur first step is to register with ICAI for CPT which u can consider as the first level of CA. U have CPT exams twice each year I.e. in June and December. For December attempt last date of registration is 30th September and for June attempt it is 31st March.
